DESIGN INSIDE AND OUTSIDE Romanticism meets contemporary style: Carinthia‘s largest event centre is characterized by modern architecture and the romantic river ambiance. The Congress Center‘s red cube has become a firm part of Villach‘s cityscape. CCV and the Holiday Inn hotel are directly connected via a glass corridor as part of a self-contained complex, thus enabling all event rooms to be reached quickly and easily. Vibrant external architectural features include interesting treeshaped lighting structures and giant illuminated seat balls. 4

CCV‘s ultra-modern stage with the most up-to-date stage technology is suitable for a wide array of events ranging from prestigious congresses to theatre productions with elaborate stage sets. The entire technical offering has been certified by the TÜV technical inspection board. The lighting effects are particularly impressive, with Villach‘s sky as it appears on a star-studded Midsummer‘s Eve projected onto the hall‘s ceiling above. 5

CONGRESS 2 – GOTTFRIED VON-EINEM-SAAL Multifunctional and chic Named after the famous Austrian composer, the Gottfried von Einem Hall is a multifunctional event hall with outstanding acoustics. The striking glass façade gives this hall its quite unique feel by affording a remarkable view of the Drau River and the surrounding mountain range. Thanks to versatile configuration possibilities, the Gottfried von Einem Hall can be combined with the attractive Draublick Gallery for varied meeting solutions and is the perfect venue for conferences, exhibitions, presentations and sensational gala evenings alike. 6

CONGRESS 3 – A HOST OF POSSIBILITIES Ingeborg Bachmann, Kiki Kogelnik and Christine Lavant: Ingeborg Bachmann, Kiki Kogelnik and Christine Lavant: The three seminar rooms in Congress Center Villach‘s red cube can each seat up to 40 guests and are fully equipped with practical conference technology. Draublick Gallery: As the sunlight floods in, a very special atmosphere is created. The gallery is ideal for cocktail receptions and press conferences. It can be combined both with the upper level foyer and the Gottfried von Einem Hall. 7

CONGRESS 4 – FOYERS A pleasant atmosphere On its south side, Congress Center Villach‘s amazing glass façade allows sunlight to illuminate the interior, creating a convivial atmosphere. The open plan concept on all three floors of the building facilitates individualised configuration arrangements. Visitors‘ cloakrooms and performers‘ dressing rooms are located on the lower level, whilst a fully equipped information & reception desk, a ticket office, an organisers‘ office and a medical room are situated on the ground floor. Every seminar room can be accessed via the upper level foyer, whilst the glass corridor leads the way to Holiday Inn Villach. 8

CONGRESS 5 – DRAU ROOMS Bright and flexible With a lovely view of the Drau River, Holiday Inn Villach‘s conference rooms are welcoming and bright. The total area of 262 m² can be divided up into three individual rooms or can be used as one hall. For galas and receptions, the hall can be extended into the foyer to accommodate up to 180 guests. Villach and its twin city of Bamberg, were the inspiration for the names of the hotel‘s well-equipped seminar rooms where exclusive meetings can be held for up to 15 participants and which can be separated using soundproof dividing walls. 9

LAGANA – BAR Chilling & enjoying Right at the heart of the city, Holiday Inn Villach fulfils all requirements asked of an excellent convention hotel. GREEN MEETINGS & GREEN EVENTS Green Meetings in the Congress Center Villach In July 2013 the Congress Center Villach was awarded the Austrian Eco-label thus giving us the competence to organize and certify “Green Meetings/ Green Events” for our customers. The comprehensive list of guidelines involved is unique in Europe and considered a quality certification mark for the ecologically aware organization of meetings.The Austrian Eco-label is an initiative of the Austria Convention Bureau in cooperation with the Federal ­Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management and the Consumer Information Association. 11

CONGRESS CENTER RESTAURANT WITH CONSERVATORY Located on the ground floor of the CCV with direct access to the terrace and the exclusive bar, this restaurant is the perfect venue to host all types of c­elebrations including traditional Carinthian evenings, gala dinners, corporate functions, weddings or family anniversaries. The Congress Center restaurant complete with large bar area, conservatory and a terrace offering fantastic views of the Drau river and the old town can accommodate around 180 guests in banquet style seating. 12

LAGANA – THE GOURMET-RESTAURANT For the senses The art of enjoyment is most definitely feted at Holiday Inn Villach. The unique culinary experience and superb quality of the dishes served in the ­LAGANA gourmet restaurant has earned it praise from gourmet guides including “Gault Millau” and “A la Carte”. With a great love for detail, the culinary team conjures up veritable delights. Delectable wines from national and international vineyards accompany the cuisine.
